Viareggio is tinged with pink with the Giro d'Italia. On Tuesday 16 May, the champions, passing through Lido di Camaiore, will finish the final sprint in the splendid Art Nouveau setting of Viale a Mare. 
 
Our Piazza Mazzini decorated in pink and in the presence of the winning float of the 150th edition of the Carnival, will mark the arrival of the 10th stage of the famous cycling race, starting from Scandiano.
 
In the days leading up to Viareggio it will welcome you with its equipped or natural beaches and a high-level food and wine offer. Various events are organized:
 
On Saturday 13 May in Piazza Puccini there will be the Viareggio in rosa event with talk shows, fashion shows and music until the evening. During the event, 2 important statues will be mounted on the beach in front of Piazza Mazzini.
 
On Sunday 14 the avenue by the sea will be enlivened by the presence of a famous Tuscan street band that will perform parading and animating the Promenade.
 
On Monday 16 in the afternoon an aperitif in pink will be organized in the area of the Chiesina dei pescatori in collaboration with the Darsena district.
 
On the evening of Monday 16 there will be #Cenainrosa and it will be possible to dine in the numerous Viareggio restaurants that will create a fantastic atmosphere in pink, to celebrate the cycling event to the sound of delicacies.
 
It will also be possible to visit the various points of interest in the city such as the Palazzo delle Muse, Villa Argentina, the Maritime Museum, the Gallery of Modern Contemporary Art, the Citadel of the Carnival, Villa Puccini in Viareggio, the Puccini House Museum in Torre del Lago, the Villa Museum Paolina Bonaparte, Villa Borbone and the important Viareggio Nautical Center.
 
The passage of the Giro d'Italia in Viareggio represents one of the most important sporting moments that the city will experience in 2023, but it is not the only one. 
 
Viareggio is a city very popular with sportsmen due to the characteristics of the territory that allow you to practice numerous sports. This year the calendar of sporting events will be really rich.
 
On May 7, the Cittadella del Carnevale, the beach and the avenue to the sea will be the stage for the 25th edition of the Granfondo della Versilia.
 
On May 27, the TiTanium Challenge will start, an epic unconventional Triathlon race that will bring athletes from all over Europe to compete among beaches, hills, pine forests, evocative landscapes set among the Apuan Alps.
 
From 5 to 9 July the Viareggio Bastia Viareggio will take place, a sailing regatta for boats from 50 feet upwards.
 
From 18 to 31 July, to further embellish a high-level calendar, will be the new edition of the Italian Beach Soccer championships.
 
On August 15, the Firenze Viareggio will start, the historic and traditional cycling race for under 23s that every year brings together amateurs of international cycling.
 
From 5 to 10 September, the Italian Youth Doubles Sailing Championships will be held in the Club Nautico area.
From 13 to 15 October, the third edition of the FIF 4x4, the international off-road fair, returns.
From 13 to 16 October it will be the turn of the XVII Meeting of Historic Sails.
 
These are events that involve the best national and international athletes of the various disciplines represented. We will be their home for the period in which they will be engaged in activities and we are sure that, thanks to the typical hospitality of Viareggio and the great beauty that surrounds us, we will be able to leave a beautiful memory.

Even if the emergency is over, our structure will maintain all possible precautions, we have increased controls and we carry out an even more thorough sanitization of all rooms when customers leave, we have increased the distance both at the reception and in the tables in the room to maintain a minimum of distance, we have made disinfectant dispensers available to customers, here on our page and possibly also on FB we will try to inform you about any problems related to the Corona in the city, we invite you not to give up your stay in Viareggio.
